DD hasn't improved much from her first feeding of solids. She eats 1T for breakfast and dinner. Sometimes refuses any, on the rare occasion, 2T... like that's happened 3 times ever and I want to shout it from the rooftops!
I know solids aren't a huge deal right now because she's still BF, but I'm wondering how this compares to other babies her age. With DS, I wondered if he ever got full because he would eat a crazy amount. I know I can't compare them, but I think that's why such a dainty eater seems odd to me.
I'm sure she'll love table foods because she dives at and grabs for ours all of the time, but I'm way too scared of choking to ever do BLW (Love the idea, but it's not for me) She'll house anything in a mesh feeder, though.
Does this sound like any of your LOs, or have they all moved on to bigger amounts?

My LO likes to eat and has never refused any solids we have given him. He may give me a look like *eew* though. When I'm home, he gets a combination of whatever I'm eating (today's example: plum and sweet potato fries) and maybe half a jar to a full jar of food in addition to his normal number of bottles. I'm not sure how much DH feeds him.
And, despite his healthy appetite, he's still in the 25%. /shrug
LO's ped didn't seem too concerned with the amount of solids, just that he was getting some.
DS would only take a few spoonfuls of purees, so we decided to go with BLW when we got tired of the battle...the kid would spray everything all over us. It was a mess.
Now, he still hardly eats anything. I actually just posted on the 6-9 mos. board because it seems everybody else's babies are downing entire meals, while I can barely get mine to take a few bites of a strawberry slice.
I've come to the conclusion they all develop at their own speed. I mean, we all eat food eventually, don't we? It's just frustrating at times...and hard not to think what if something's wrong?
DS is feeding himself (very messily), but he can only manage softer foods. I do try to puree/mash some of the harder to manage foods, but he prefers banana and squash. He's eating 1 or 2 ounces twice a day, so it's not very much.
I've heard of some babies who didn't even go to purees until 9 months because they didn't like it. Whoever is saying their babies eat full meals before 12 months is feeding them too much as it's supposed to be just for practice at this point to help them learn how to eat table foods.
DS would eat until he puked if I let him. I never know if I'm feeding him enough because he just yells and yells at me to give him more. He gets 2 ice cubes of fruit and 2 of veggies at lunch, and then 3 tablespoons of cereal in the evening. Plus he still eats every 3 hours (combination of breast milk and formula).
He doesn't really like to feed himself at ALL. If I give him mum-mums or something in a mesh feeder, he looks at me like "Mum, do it for me, come on!". He can feed himself, he just chooses not to.
